After struggling for two years in dealing with
my mother's death, I had the most unbelievable dreamif it could be
called a dream.
On this particular evening, my
husband and I were both sleeping. Around 2:00 a.m., I awoke, went down to
the kitchen for a glass of water, went back upstairs, kissed my dog and
went back to bed. As soon as I climbed into bed, I fell into to this deep
sleep or tranceI am not sure what to call it. I found myself in a
grey room, sitting at a table in a brown chair with no arms.
Suddenly, my mother appeared.
She looked completely healthy (she died of cancer) and had all of her hair.
I was so excited to see her. I jumped up and frantically searched for my
sister, Kaye, to bring her to see our mother. But Mom told me to sit down,
that she needed to talk with me and that she would talk to Kaye in her own
time.
I sat in total amazement, and
my mother sat across from me and began to tell me that I needed to go on
with my life. That the place she was in was so beautiful and peaceful and
that she didn't want to come back. She had no pain and no more sickness.
She told me that she would always be watching over me and that I needed
to remember the good memories and not dwell on her death. It was very selfish
of me, she said, to want her back as she wassick and hurting. She
told me she would always love me, and then I awoke as quickly as I had fallen
into this state.
The next morning my husband looked
at me and asked what had happened. He said I had a look of such peace. And,
yes, I did feel peace!
Later, while visiting my mother's
sister, I began to tell her about my visit with Mom. She stopped me and
finished my story, because she had had almost the identical dream on the
very same night!
I truly believe my mother is one
of my guardian angels.
