Remembering 9-11

Dearest Friends,
This year has been a difficult year for many, and as we approach September, we tend to think about what happened ten years ago this month. Our lives seem to have a fullness of responsibility that make it difficult to take the time to strengthen our families, prepare for unwanted calamaties, and most especially shore up and expand our relationship with God.
Please visit my homepage and read my note “Walk in the Spirit of God,” that I hope will bring clearer focus on what we all can do to choose what we want in our lives and walk the path God has in mind for each of us, trusting in his guidance and help.
Our Heavenly Father has the perfect “blueprint” for each of our lives and in his perfect wisdom and foresight, he designed each of our purposes, as well as our purposes together. He is mindful of every hair upon our heads and knows our struggles. He watches over all that is and I promise you that nothing passes by him without his approval.
God wants us to turn to him. He wants us to share our concerns and what troubles us. He already knows what is in our heart even better than we do ourselves, but he wants to hear from us—and as we communicate with him our innermost thoughts and desires, we give growth to our own spirit and devolop our connection to him—which is so needed in these difficult times.
God bless you as you pray for your families, your communities, your country and for our world.
All my love,
Betty

What's new on EmbracedByTheLight.com
Letters to Betty
After the sudden loss of her husband, this woman reluctantly walks into a bookstore that has a copy of “Embraced” waiting for her. She “devours” it in one night and says the content was the turning point in healing her grief.
This woman was told her experiences were not real—Betty’s book helps her realize that not only are they real, they are a gift.
While almost dying from a terrible illness, this man speaks with Jesus on a mountain top and learns that love is all that matters. Two days later he is released from the hospital in perfect health and now wants to learn everything he can about the after-life.
God’s Tiny Miracles
Special
comfort given through an unusual message after the sudden loss of a brother.
Once told she would not walk but anything is possible with the loving grace of God.
Because his grandpa had faith in God, God worked a miracle.
“You Raise Me Up,” a special witness that God is mindful of us.
Mother’s prayers
The doctor told her she would lose her pregnancy, but her faith and trust in God’s will gave a different outcome.
Heavenly Encounters
A six year-old goes to heaven and does not want to come back to her physical body or illness—yet she chooses to anyway and brings back a sweet witness of Jesus and his delight in her.
She believes all is lost, yet cries out a prayer of help in her despair—and learns through the Lord Jesus Christ about love, generosity and forgiveness.

Something to Ponder
For spiritual inspiration read the Daily Devotional with me every day from my home page. Or, you may want to purchase the book from Onjinjinka Books.
From the "Embraced
By The Light: Prayers & Devotions for Daily Living," Entry
for September 1st:
My Spirit Accepted the Challenge to Assist Others
Our spirits remember. They remember that we make decisions in heaven by different standards than we do on earth…Our spirits remember that we volunteered to come into our present conditions, not only to learn and to help ourselves, but to teach and to help others as well.
The Ripple Effect - page 37
Ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
Romans 15:14
Thank you, Father, for the opportunity to come into this world to live by faith and to gain experience so that my spirit may add new knowledge to that which it already has. Help me receive new truth with gratitude, always willing to teach others. Instruct me to use my abilities as a confident mentor to bless those in need of my assistance.
Affirmation:
I offer my knowledge and abilities so that others may also come to God.
