What follows is a brief retelling of the story I share
in Embraced By The Light. It is exclusive to this
website. Its purpose is to introduce the book to those who
may not have read it and to cause them to want to read it.
 I've
received letters and have spoken with many people who have
read The Awakening Heart but not Embraced By The
Light. Their feeling is that The Awakening Heart
contains everything Embraced does and more. Well, the
truth is, it does not. I wish everyone interested in my story
would read Embraced By The Light for themselves. It
is where everything begins for me. My journey to heaven and
back is the natural source of anything else I might write
about or share. Embraced gives the details of that
journey and of what I learned. By simple example it lays out
the framework of God's loving plan for us all. It points to
the source of light and love whom we all must get to know—Jesus
our Savior.
I've
said that Embraced By The Light is "the plow."
By this I mean that it can have the effect of opening hearts
and preparing them to receive seeds of truth or inspiration
from God. I have seen it work this way. For whatever reason
in him, God has touched people through Embraced By The
Light—as he touches people through many things in
order to bring them a little closer to him. Where before,
some people have doubted or feared God, after reading Embraced
they doubt less, trust more, and recognize God's love more
surely in their lives. They feel comforted, and they feel
hopeful. Now, it is not my book that does that, it is God
that does that through his loving touch upon hearts. He deserves
every praise.
My
story is not for everyone. But if by chance there is something
in it for you, I pray you will find that something as you
read. I pray that you will be uplifted and inspired, that
you will know God's love more surely.
