Dress For Success
When Bella looked in the mirror she giggled, "Wow! I am so beautiful!"
And she is in her new Chrisian Dior suit. Over 20,000 women, like
Bella, have been given new suits and new starts in life by Dress for Success,
a non-profit organization that helps low-income women make great impressions
for job interviews. Each Dress for Success client receives one suit when
she has an interview and a second suit when she gets the job. Women are
referred to Dress for Success by a other non-profit organizations which
include homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, job training programs
and English as a second language programs. These suits symbolize the organization's
faith in every woman's ability to succeed. Since being founded in 1996,
Dress for Success has opened in over 50 cities internationally. Dress
for Success clients are assisted by volunteer Personal Shoppers and, most
importantly, each is treated with dignity and respect. Dress for Success
depends solely on the generosity of individuals and corporations for donations.
All suits collected help low income women enter the workforce.
