Locks of Love

Miss Virginia USA 1999, Kellie Lightbourn, cut off 13 inches of her auburn locks to help create a wig for 12-year-old Amber Marrs. Amber suffers from a disease called alopecia areata which has no known cause. The disease can bring on complete hair loss in children and to-date has no cure. Kellie Lightbourn donated her hair through a Palm Springs charity which provides hairpieces for children like Amber.
