"What
we're going to experience next is a test of what we believe."
In God We Trust |

|

For
the second time in the history of America, our soil has been contaminated
by hostile attackbut never this close, never against our landmarks
and never without specific warning. People feel violated, stunned
and frightened. However, the attack against New York and Washington,
D.C. is a wake-up call. The anger expressed by terrorists
against our country has raged in a manner that we could have guessed
at, if only our society had taken the time to look beyond its arrogance
and greed and seen what has been happening for decades in the Middle
East. Indeed, this attack against our homeland is a wake-up call,
set generations ago and moved forward by each generation. If we could
turn back time, would we want to remain asleep, or awaken to what
was happening all along? It was only a matter of timetime which
has run out now. Our lives are forever changed because of this. We
are not invincible, nor are we an island unto ourselves. |
|
| |
Like
most others, I sat glued to the television and gazed in horror at
scenes too surreal for my mind to comprehend or absorb. I heard our
leaders call out for prayers as I sent my grandson to school where
prayers are not allowed. I heard God's name used reverently, not irreverently,
as so often happens. I saw our flag hung with pride and honor as it
was when I was a child. I listened to our National Anthem being sung
with pride, though recently it was thought offensive by one of our
sports associations and was eliminated from the beginnings of games.
I witnessed a change in people as they helped one another, showed
their need for one another and displayed love for one another openly
and without thought for themselves. Then I prayed that this would
last. |
If we could turn back time, would we want to remain asleep, or
awaken to what was happening all along? |
| |
My
email is brimming with prayer requests from people around the world.
And I have been sent every conceivable thing written which mentions
God, prayer, meditation and patriotism. I have been requested to write
something similar to be passed along as encouragement and comfort.
However, to write soothing words is something I cannot put my heart
into right now. This is not a time for our emotions to be pacified
by soft words. This is a time to mourn, to grieve, and to learn. People
are dazed and confused and are crying out to me for comfort and for
answers. But my heart is heavy with the burden I have carried for
a long time of knowing where our actions are taking us. |
|
| |
I
want people to be comforted, too. And my arms yearn to hold those
brought down with tears. But for those who have faith in God, this
is not a time to give into weakness. This is a time to gain strength
and wisdom through our suffering. THIS IS THE AWAKENING OF GOD'S PEOPLE!
We can make a difference still! We can recognize our hypocrisy and
bring ourselves to live lives that are balanced and consistent with
eternal laws, lives that glorify a living and true God ALL THE TIMEin
church, at work, in our schools, and in our homes. |
THIS IS THE AWAKENING OF GOD'S PEOPLE! We can make a difference still! |
| |
This
wake-up call is to bring us to see the imbalance and gluttony in our
lives, to stop "political correctness" and seek, instead, God's will
in our lives and what HE would have us find within ourselves. In the
heart of our hearts we know that our lives did not begin here, nor
do they end here. We are eternal, and our growth depends on what we
do with the knowledge we receive while experiencing this life and
its challenges. |
|
| |
Every
opposition is a gift from God and can be used to refine our spiritual
awareness and increase love, if we choose to use it that way. We knew
before coming to earth that some trials would be very traumatic and
that we might not understand them or learn all we could from them.
We knew we would even make mistakes. But we volunteered for them anyway,
seeking all things that might refine us, humble us, and empower us
to use our divine gifts to overcome and grow beyond these adversities.
We hoped and we covenanted that by enduring these trials we would
return to God stronger and more like him. |
|
| |
However,
knowing that we chose to endure tragedy, and knowing that God allows
it, does not make tragedy any less painful. The pain is part of the
growth process, with the greater pain often triggering the greater
growth. At times the pain or the calamity can be so severe that we
need the love and prayers of others to enable us to endure it. The
increase of love and prayer leading to greater faith among people
may be the purpose behind some disasters. Or this may be one purpose
among many as multiple truths are taught to everyone involved. A loving
God allows tragedies to occur because he loves us and knows exactly
what we need and what we can endure in order to grow. |
The pain is part of the growth process, with the greater pain often
triggering the greater growth. |
| |
We
live in troubling times. Evil seems to be reaching new depths as well
as broader acceptance in the lives of many. But truth is also expanding
in the world, surging with new light and new ideas and generating
exciting opportunities and challenges. For many this is a frightening
time as old orders change and new values seep in. Time is speeding
up, and many of us were among the strong ones, ready and determined
to come and bless this world in these chaotic times. Now is our chance. |
|
| |
Our
action or lack of action will have an impact. Planet Earth possesses
a spirit, a life-force all its own. In a very real way it is a living
entity. Currently the earth suffers from the evil and abuse we have
heaped upon it. As dire and unavoidable as this sounds, we must not
become fatalistic. We have the power to reverse this process. I was
shown many catastrophes that await the earth if mankind collectively
continues to break universal laws. These catastrophes are not for
our punishment; they are the natural results of our choices. We determine
our own destiny and will face the evil or good that we create. I was
told that denying our Creator, who is God himself, would be the foremost
cause of these consequences. Calamities need never occur if we will
bring ourselves into harmony with God and the universe. We can restore
the spiritual balance of our creation, if we choose to. |
|
| |
And
many are choosing to. Our world stands on the brink of a spiritual
renaissance, a revival of spirituality that will sweep the earth and
change it in significant ways. To effect these changes the great Awakening
has begun. Knowledge is flowing from Heaven in greater intensity.
Those sensitive to it will respond and fill their lives with it. Evil,
by its opposing nature, is rising up too, to challenge this Awakening.
But the harder the opposition, the harder good people will work to
advance the Awakening. If not for evil and its polarizing effects,
the Awakening in fact could not come about as quickly as it will certainly
come about. |
Our world stands on the brink of a spiritual renaissance, a revival
of spirituality that will sweep the earth and change it in significant
ways. |
| |
God
has set this into motion, and therefore it cannot be stopped. Once
he begins a work, his energy quickly fills it and expands until the
work is finished. The world will suffer greatly through this process
of rebirth, but its outcome is surenot just because God has
ordained it, but because millions of good people will exercise their
free will to embrace this gift from heaven. We can fail individually,
but we will not fail collectively. |
|
| |
Those
who understand God's love and his will must now come forward and be
counted. We must share what we know with courage and confidence. People
not yet sure in spiritual truth can be supported and guided by those
who are sure until they come into their own understanding.
We can and will see our world cleansed of all evil and blanketed with
a greater glory, even the glory of God which is pure love. But we
must each believe and act in that belief for it to happen. |
Those who understand God's love and his will must now come forward
and be counted. We must share what we know with courage and confidence. |
| |
Faith
in what we believe does not mean sitting on the sidelines waiting
for someone else to take action. Faith is an action word. Belief is
hope, and when combined with love and passion, it is unstoppable.
Now is the time to voice our concerns. Now is the time to make change
in our families. Now is the time to demand freedom to govern ourselves
and to expect our government to support us in this. Some people whine
but are complacent and too willing to allow their lives to be legislated
and monitored, their standards dictated by those without strong morals
or belief in God. We are the people! We have allowed this! And we
must make change! |
|
| |
Prophecies
in the Bible foretell of spiritual laws which, when broken, "reap"
certain consequence. Now we have arrived at one of these inevitable
breaking points which God has protected us against for years, offering
us an opportunity to use our free will to make better choices. God
is not unlike every other good father. He wants us to come to understanding
on our own, which we can only achieve through experience. |
|
| |
So,
when will we learn? How degraded must our standards become before
we see that we are in need of higher values? Our hunger and thirst
for material possessions and our gluttony in things of the flesh have
made us forget what is truly important in our lives. We have lost
our priorities. We have lowered our standards to such a degree that
we tolerate what once was intolerable. Our children have all but lost
hope for their futuresuicide and murder run rampant among them.
In the wake of disaster, our country is united, showing change and
signs of great faith in God and in our country. But can this surge
of spiritual awareness stand the test of time? Terrorism is not our
only enemy now. Fear and hatred are as well. This is becoming my greatest
concern. |
Terrorism is not our only enemy now. Fear and hatred are as well.
This is becoming my greatest concern. |
| |
What
we are going to experience next is a test of what we believe. If we
have not internalized God, we will return to what we were beforeand
much worse. There must be a moral revolution in our country. As a
society we must change drastically and soon. Our faith is everything!
What we believe can and will affect us in every conceivable aspect
of our lives. Yes, a war is at hand, and changes will occur. This
is the price for freedomfreedom bought by people in previous
wars who gave their lives for it, for us. Now, we must support President
Bush. God prepared him for this task, and he is qualified to lead
us through. Let us unite with agreement in our prayers that wisdom
be used in all things, remembering that vengeance begets vengeance,
yet also that justice must be served. Let us trust in God our Eternal
Father and know with surety that he governs us when we let him. Nothing
passes by him without his knowledge. He is in more control than we
can ever comprehend or understand. |
|
| |
Warring
Angels on Earthyou who sense in your heart that God has called
you to lend your faith and strength of prayerI ask you to continue
your prayers for our people, our country, and for our leaders. Join
hearts and hands with as many like-minded souls as are willing. Lift
each other with expressions of kindness and seek only good in one
another. Treat all as children of God and offend no one. Seek to enlighten
others with the knowledge you are blessed to have. Let each person
express their knowledge of God as they know how to express it, and
bless them in their understanding, just as you will be blessed in
yours. |
|
| |
My
love and prayers for those who suffer from this and every tragedy.
May you bask in the comfort of his loving care forever. |
