I recently moved to Charlottesville, VA from Raleigh, NC and retired! I downsized from a house to a townhouse, so not much yard to speak of, but I love to garden, so I got creative and used pots. I planted tomatoes and herbs this past summer just to see how it would work out. My deck faces south...perfect! I got more tomatoes than I've ever gotten in my big yard garden! The deck is high, so no critters can eat my buds anymore. So this summer I'm expanding to include zucchini, yellow squash, and cucumbers, maybe even a honeydew melon. There's more than one way to skin a cat!
