Thank you all so much for praying for the hip/back/sleep issue and my long drive. The drive was actually one of the best ever - I didn't even get sleepy on the way (as I usually do). And although I wasn't able to sleep for long in a bed at the time (I had to move to a sofa and sleep sitting up), I am now able to do so again! It is SO nice to be able to sleep in a bed haha. It was also wonderful to hang out with Christian friends (who put me up at their house for these trips). Anyway I wanted to share this praise report and thank you all for your prayers. 2 days ago I went on a little hike with kiddo, kiddo's 2 friends and their dad. Nothing too strenuous, but unfortunately I have long-ago injuries/conditions... like, I had difficulty walking at the last in-person WAVES Gathering. I don't even remember how many years ago that was (10+), which tells you it was a long time ago. Anyway, thanks to kiddie hike, something is apparently wrong with my hips, both sides, but worse is right leg/hip (ironically same leg my husband has problems with, though on the opposite side). I just woke up with it in such bad pain that it triggered my worst health symptoms all in one (I won't describe in gory detail but let's just say it included throwing up and a massive spike in blood pressure). All that said, I wouldn't be acutely worried except... I have to drive my kiddo for 6+ hours straight next week, there and back again, plus stay elsewhere for a couple nights, and get enough rest that I don't fall asleep at the wheel (middle age sleep issues were already a challenge). The good news is the leg apparently feels better if I'm sitting or standing. The bad news is I can't lie down haha. (This is again sort of opposite of my husband because he feels better lying down than standing.... I do have extra visceral sympathy for his now year-long torment. Ugh.) I will say the timing is weird for one more reason. I had been talking with Erin and DeeDee about Encampments, and forest-y mountainous terrain near water and such. Well, that's exactly the sort of place we had hiked. Hmm.

He has been dealing with debilitating nerve pain for a year in the leg. But this morning he woke up with overwhelming pain in the head, so bad he's thrown up. I am so upset at how much this man is suffering. I've asked him to talk to Jesus even though he doesn't really believe in a loving God.

Hello, coming by to say hello on the new WAVES board. I signed up with my Facebook ID, but you probably have no idea who this is without clarification since the Facebook ID is kind of um ... cryptic. For those of you who don't know me, I'm a long-lost WAVES member. The first WAVES Gathering I went to was in 2001, and the airport was guarded by soldiers because 9/11 had occurred shortly before. Made that trip memorable for sure. I was an active WAVE up until 2011/2012 when family changes caused me to radically change my life. In 2013, due to severe supernatural challenges, I switched from extremely liberal churches and did a sharp right turn into charismatic/Pentecostal Christianity, where I picked up some new tools, new ideas, and new wounds, and then came out again. My outlook is currently a super weird blend of progressive and charismatic. I've made it to the last two online WAVES Gatherings. Juan-Marie, you're doing such an incredible job, and it's great to see other old-timers and hear testimonies from all the new WAVES. As mentioned in the online WAVES Gatherings, I'd like to again extend an invitation to a Facebook group founded by some of us long-ago WAVES to discuss Betty's Encampment concept and to share ideas. The group name is Edentricity. Please join in if you have any interest in spiritual+earth-friendly living and survival and education, "havens of light," and so on. Also, I would like to ask prayer for a family member who is battling long-term, debilitating pain. It's getting worse again after temporarily improving a few months ago. This person is also experiencing physical symptoms of other serious and possibly life-threatening nature. Prayers are very appreciated! Thanks and hello to all.
