I Am Becoming a Light unto Others   As we each find one person with whom to share our light, a wonderful miracle begins to take place; we find the Lord answering our individual prayers and preparing us to become the light, the answer, to yet many others. God Is a Compassionate Father   God perfectly understands our lack of knowledge.  He knows that most of us do not remember our commitments to him.  In his eyes we are like little children: susceptible and even expected to make mistakes. My Faith Includes the Mysteries of God   Each child has a mission to fulfill before dying.  We will always miss our departed children, but we can rejoice in the knowledge that their missions were successfully completed.  And we can be comforted with the certainty that the child is free from the pain and troubles of this world and is joyful in the loving arms of God. Ministering Angels Surround Me   Three men suddenly appeared at my side.  They wore beautiful, light brown robes, and …a kind of glow emanated from them.  I sensed in them great spirituality, knowledge, and wisdom…And I knew that these were my choicest friends in that greater life and that they had chosen to be with me.  They explained that they, with others, had been my guardian angels during my life on earth.  But I felt these three were special, that they were also my “ministering angels.” Embraced By The Light  -  pages 30-32   Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?  Hebrews 1:14    Father, often I have felt so alone.  During grievous times I have wept, longing for a companionship that only my spirit comprehends.  I am beginning to know that what I yearn for is your presence, because nothing else satisfies.  Thank you for loving me, and for sending ministering angels to comfort me.   Affirmation:  I am surrounded by loving arms that embrace me in my sorrow.  Ministering Angels soothe my spirit and calm my aching heart.   Embraced By The Light Prayers and Devotions for Daily Living

I Test My Limits to Grow in Confidence   We live and thrive by doing things, by testing our limits, by opening ourselves up to new experiences and challenges, by seeking joy and even happiness as we step out--not in fear or anxiety, but in faith. Friends Are My Earth Angels   We may become like the angels themselves, helping others who are in need.  In prayer and service our lights will always shine.  Service is the oil to our lamps generated by compassion and love. God Judges the Hearts’ Intent   After the death of our body, we have a life’s review where…we don’t just watch our lives.  We experience the effects that our actions have had on others…The life review is an important part of our spiritual growth. The Awakening Heart  -  page 118   And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. I Learn Through Free Will   Freedom of choice is precious, and our individual agency may be the most precious gift we have from God, next to life itself…In heaven, free will was gifted to all who would come here, and we willingly accepted it for ourselves and granted it to others.  We desired it as a responsibility and a challenge for our lives on earth.  We asked God for the right to make mistakes, even to sin or to break spiritual laws so that we might learn.  We desired to live with the consequences of our mistakes so that we could be driven from within to revise our lives. My Mission and Purpose Will Be Done   Gently, he opened his arms and let me stand back far enough to look into his eyes, and he said, “Your death was premature, it is not yet your time.”  No words ever spoken have penetrated me more than these…I felt a mission, a purpose; I didn’t know what it was, but I knew that my life on earth had not been meaningless.  It was not yet my time.  My time would come when my mission, my purpose, my meaning in this life was accomplished.  I had a reason for existing on earth. In Understanding God My Confidence Increases   Having faith in God and in his plan for us implies that we don’t weaken ourselves or others through chronic anxiety.  We must trust that he is aware of our situations, trust that if we have made mistakes, he is able to bless us to do better now and in the future. Heavenly Father Is Generous in His Care   God never punishes us by taking the life of one we love.  He never lets a child die because he does not care.  God cares more, and is more aware, than we suspect…Our children are always before our Father in Heaven, always in his grace, always in his generous care. I Am Patterned after God with Many Talents   God created us like himself and gave us gifts, special talents to develop and to use as we chose.  He is the pattern that we are to follow, and his example would be the greatest respect to the earth that so richly gives of all it has. My Lord’s Humor is Delightful   I’ll never forget the Lord’s sense of humor, which was as delightful and quick as any here--far more so.  Nobody could out-do his humor.  He is filled with perfect happiness, prefect goodwill.  There is a softness and grace in his presence, and I had no doubt that he is a perfect man.
