My story is about my mother's prayers for me. When I was 5 years old, I was very ill with G.B. Syndrome a disease that attacks your central nervous system. Doctors told my mom that I only had a 10% chance of living and if I did live, I would likely be brain damaged! You see, I went for along period of time without breathing and had a 107 temperature. I spent 30 days in the hospital and 2 weeks in intensive care. Every day my mother would be by my side, praying to God to make me well.
During this time I had a NDE. At the end of my NDE, God actually scrolled back the heavens to show me a scene of my mother crying, and praying over me.
He then asked me if I still wanted to stay. I thought about it for only a split second and couldn't imagine hurting my mother that way. Then I said, yes I will return. And in the blink of an eye, I was back! I am glad I made the right choice! My mother had lost her first baby, to crib death only 6 years earlier. And if I! had stayed in Heaven, it would have crushed her. I believe that her prayers for me gave me the will to live, to return from the brink of death.
